Arizona

Overview

At the end of March 2024, we picked up our RV from Certified On-Site RV Service in Connecticut and made our way across the country to Arizona. Our base was located just outside Flagstaff at Village Camp RV Park. Since it was early in the season for them, we had a nice, quiet, and sometimes cold stay there. During our time in Arizona we visited many national parks, hiked through red rocks and slot canyons, saw our first big cacti, and even visited our first natural wonder of the world!

Takeaways

Arizona is cold in April. At least near the mountains. We expected nice weather when leaving Massachusetts at the end of their winter and it was colder some days in Arizona! Make sure you have a heated water hose, even this far south. Sedona was our favorite spot in the state. Scottsdale really surprised us in that it was very nice and, although busy, efficient with traffic and getting around.
