Doug and I met and started dating during freshman year in college in 2006, got engaged in 2011, married in 2016. We both grew up in Massachusetts, me on the eastern side, him on the western side and together lived in a few areas of the state. Doug worked in IT and I was in the medical field. Ultimately, I went to grad school and became a Physician Assistant. Although we loved growing up in New England, we both wanted a change and were wanting more work/life balance which caused a move to Montana in 2017. We spent 4 years living in Livingston and took advantage of the beautiful mountains by hiking. However, Montana just wasn’t working out for our long term plan the way we had hoped. During that last year, I left my job to do travel (locum) PA. So we decided to up and move again spending several months in MA, while I worked, before heading this time to Knoxville, Tennessee. Although we liked the area, it just wasn’t giving that “this is home” vibe. After much conversation and research, we decided to take the leap and go full-time RV living.

We had never travelled much, just locally through surrounding states and never took many vacations together-basically just to Aruba with my family. We took a delayed honeymoon in 2019 and spent about a week in Northern Italy and then 2 weeks in Switzerland. After that trip, we were hooked or guess you could say we got the travel bug. We wanted to see, explore and experience more.

I had gone through the loss of several family members and realized how fragile and short life is and we didn’t want to be stuck in the “daily grind” anymore. So we choose to do life different.

This blog showcases our travels, hikes, activities and RV life. We want to inspire people to step out of their comfort zones, aka their “bubble” and live life now. You really never know how much or little time you have left. This world is a big place and offers so much beauty, peace, happiness and most of all memories. Enjoy!
